March 2016: Block a Month - Card Trick, Jacobs Ladder, Lily and Ohio Star

Back in February we demonstrated four blocks for a sampler quilt our members will be making.  These are the blocks some of our members made.   Some amazing colours being used for the sampler quilt.  Already we can tell they are going to be so very different. One of the great joy's of a quilting group, is to see how others interpret the patterns and colour. These are the blocks so far from members.  Some member were a little reluctant to share their blocks on our blog, however, we are so glad they did - WELL DONE - they look amazing, you should all be very proud!

We had four more demonstrations, for blocks to be made during March.

Card Trick:

Jacobs Ladder:  Suggested page for half triangle paper click here

Lily:

Ohio Star:

We had show and tell.... two finished quilts ready to be sent to new owners.  Two WIP quilts, getting ready for new homes.

And we had a table of rebels at the back, completing some crochet projects while listening and watching the demonstrations.  There always one isn't there..... well... three in this case!!!

Stunning work, yet again from the ladies.  I, for one, cannot wait to see the next four blocks made up.

Don't forget, our next meeting will be on 7th April.  And some of our quilts will be on show at Sutton Library on April 8th and 9th.  Do pop in and say Hello!
