The past year has gone quickly (!), and as a group we have achieved many quilts for Project Linus - and many more as individuals. We have had our first successful fund raising table. And of course, have been guided through our quilting activities by a wonderful chair woman and the committee volunteers. As a group, our main committee members remain in their posts (except one) - but decided that at the next AGM, we should really be looking at changing faces at the helm, just to keep things fresh. We saw our first committee member leaving, not only her post as secretary, but also the group, to move to pastures new. We thank Tanya for all her hard work during the past years and presented her with a little gift for her new home.

The main event of the evening was the admiring of our black and white block challenge - we did ourselves proud! Thirty 'blocks' in total! We had an informal vote on our overall favourite - by placing a 5p piece in an envelope - a little fun with a little fund raising!

Our next meeting, on 1st October - we will be discussing Christmas (never too early in the crafting world). And once again reminding those interested in entering a quilt into the Town Twinning, that decisions need to be made on title and size and a form completed before December!
